Our Services

General Services

  • Professional Dental Cleaning

Increasingly, our clients have become aware of the fact that it is just as important to have their pets’ teeth examined and cleaned on a regular basis, as it is to protect their own teeth and gums. Our specialized services include professional dental cleaning, polishing, digital dental radiographs, fluoride therapy, tooth extractions, bonded sealants, oral surgery and specialized periodontal treatments. A painful mouth is only one side effect of infected teeth and gums. A mouth infection that goes untreated can cause serious systemic problems; such as: kidney disease, liver disease and heart disease.

  • Laser Therapy

We are excited to announce that we now offer the most advanced Laser Therapy treatments for our patients. Laser therapy has been available for humans for over thirty years and now is available for our pets. Laser Therapy is an advanced non-surgical treatment for a variety of conditions that can affect your pet’s health and mobility.

Conditions that can be improved with Laser Therapy include: arthritis, acute and chronic pain, back injuries, sprains and strains, inflammation, edema and helps heal wounds. Current studies have shown that Laser Therapy is equal to or more effective than other forms of physical therapy.

Laser therapy helps to provide an alternative solution to traditional pain management or can be used in combination with other treatment options and is extremely safe.

  • Bathing

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing bath removes dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor.  Your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, please let our staff member know and we can use specialized medicated shampoos that contain soothing agents that stop the itching.  Our Pampered Pet Spa Package also includes a pedicure, a deep ear cleaning or an anal sac expression.

  • Blood Transfusion

We have the ability to do blood typing and perform blood transfusions in an emergency situation.

  • Boarding

Pets are like our children. We feed, nurture, and lavish them with attention. Our highly qualified staff lavishes your pet with one-on-one attention during their supervised outdoor and indoor play time. This quality time helps keep them happy and active. We also offer a TLC package if you would like added attention and play time.

Our new boarding facility has separate, spacious areas for our canine and feline friends. Our boarding areas are also provided with 100% fresh air at all times. This helps decrease odors, decreases the chances of spreading airborne diseases and is less stressful for the boarding pets.

We specialize in boarding pets with special medical needs like heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, epilepsy, and many other medical conditions. If you have questions about boarding your pet with a serious medical condition, please speak with one of our staff members.

  • Internal Medicine

We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others.

  • Lasers

Using the laser in surgery instead of the traditional scalpel blade is a relatively new and exciting alternative. The Animal Hospital of Colorado Springs has been offering this alternative for several years.

The laser seals blood vessels and nerve endings while cutting tissue; this means less pain, less bleeding, and less swelling compared to traditional methods. This results in a rapid recovery and there is less post-operative discomfort.

  • Microchipping

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

  • Nutritional Counseling

Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.
